Off-Piste Advice
To slide down the powder snow in complete safety
- To best prepare for your off-piste excursion, esf Val d'Isère advise you to:
- Get equipped with essential safety gear: ABS backpack, avalanche transceiver (DVA), shovel, and probe, (and knowing how to use them).
- Wear a helmet: Helmets are strongly recommended for all off-piste outings.
- Get guided by an esf instructor or mountain guide.
- Ensure you have an advanced level of skiing before venturing off-piste.
- Please note that off-piste outings may be canceled depending on weather conditions and avalanche risk.
