Advice for parents

To ensure that lessons run smoothly
  • Make sure your child is early to lesson meeting points with your digital lesson card available in your MyESF app (find all your ESF information on mobile for a peaceful mountain stay with the MyESF app)
  • The ski lift pass is not included lessons' fee and is mandatory for both private and group lessons.
  • Students are not insured by the esf. We recommend taking out Carré Neige Insurance when booking your lessons.
  • Participation in a lesson does not exclude a certain level of autonomy for the student. Therefore, each student must personally ensure their own safety.
  • Equipment is not provided in our services.
  • If you are unsure about which lesson level to choose, you can assess your level here.
  • On Friday, the last 15 minutes of the lessons will be dedicated to reviewing the week and discussing the Etoile results with the children and their instructor.
For your children's well-being
  • Remember to equip your child according to their needs: equipment (skis and boots), helmet (strongly recommended), back protection for certain lesson levels, warm clothing, sunglasses or preferably a ski mask.
  • Helmets and back protectors are compulsory for all lessons above the Étoile d'Or level.
  • Use sun cream that is suitable for children.
  • If you don't have the MyESF application on your smartphone, slip the lesson card with the date and time of the lesson into your child's pocket.
  • Don't forget to give your little ones a snack so that they can take a break during the lesson.
  • Avoid following the lessons and calling out to your child during the lessons.
  • Notify the instructor of any health problems.
  • Allow the instructor to change levels if necessary for the well-being of your child.
  • Your child is on holiday, and the aim is for them to enjoy themselves and want to come back. So respect their pace and don't try to turn them into champions before their time!
